About The Pilot Program
Start Earning Rewards with Smart@Home
Mississippi Power is excited to bring the new Smart@Home pilot program to our customers. Our goal is to give you new tools to help you save more effectively on your monthly bill, by giving you better control of devices in and out of the home. We also want to offer additional opportunities to be rewarded throughout the year for saving energy when demand is highest.
We are here to support you throughout the pilot program — from onboarding and connecting devices, as well as how to participate in Savings Days.
Smart@Home Eligibility
To participate in the Smart@Home pilot program, you must be a Mississippi Power customer who pays their own electric bill, have a compatible smart thermostat, a smartphone, and Wi-Fi internet at home.
Eligible Mississippi Power customers will be mailed a FREE smart plug and smart light bulb to complement their smart thermostat for the pilot program.
Space is limited and is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Sign Up and Download the App
Check out the list of compatible thermostats to see if yours is eligible. Once your information is reviewed and confirmed, you will receive your smart plug and smart light bulb in the mail and log in credentials from the Smart@Home Team. Then you will be able to connect your thermostat, plug and light bulb to the Smart@Home app.
Choose Between Two Ways to Save Energy in the Smart@Home App
You can save energy either automatically or manually through the app. If you select “Automatic,” you are agreeing to let Mississippi Power adjust your devices during Savings Days and then return them to your preferred settings once the events end. If you select “Manual,” you will receive a notification before an event and can make adjustments to your devices through the Smart@Home app.
Earn Rewards on Monthly Savings Days
There will be two Savings Days each month—take part in both to earn $5 for the month! Pilot program participants can receive up to $70* in rewards! You will be notified before each event so you can be prepared.
Get Started with Smart@Home
Once you sign up for the pilot program, you will receive an email from Mississippi Power confirming your form submission. After your information has been confirmed, you will receive an acceptance email for the Smart@Home pilot program.**
The acceptance email will include instructions for downloading the Mississippi Power Smart@Home app and setting up your smart devices once received in the mail.
*Participants will receive a $5 gift card for participating in both monthly Savings Days, totaling $60 for the year,
plus an additional $10 gift card for signing up and connecting devices.
**Participants must have a compatible smart thermostat in order to join the pilot program.
